Sometimes what we need
is an accurate reflection...

Kyna Moore is a Licensed Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor with nineteen years in private practice and over twenty years of mental health work experience. She has been licensed since 1995. She has worked with countless individuals, couples & families who have struggled with everything from spiritual issues to abuse.

Kyna's education emphasized integrating theology with psychology and the importance of working through her own personal issues. Her theoretical approach to counseling is eclectic, including cognitive-behavioral, person-centered and analytical aspects. Kyna's top spiritual gifts are discernment, wisdom and exhortation. Her training was clinical but her style is warm and personal. These elements combined make her work feel informal and comfortable while also keeping professional integrity. She continues to grow through peer consultations and approved continuing education, as well as engaging in her own therapy, life coaching and spiritual direction. Kyna is an active member of AACC (American Association of Christian Counselors) and former member of the ACA.

Kyna relies on personal recommendations and other relationships for most of her referrals. She does very limited advertising and adheres to a strict professional code of conduct in her practice. Because Kyna is a licensed professional, clients may receive payment reimbursements from their medical insurance after payment is made upfront for their therapy.

Kyna offers pre-marital preparation sessions which will save couples $60 on the purchase of a Tennessee marriage license. The course material may include:

(1) Communication skills & love/apology languages.
(2) Uncovering unresolved family issues.
(3) Financial responsibilities.
(4) Parenting responsibilities & blended family issues.

(5) Conflict resolution.

(6) Sexual relationship.

Healthy relationships are crucial to a healthy life and the therapeutic relationship can be instrumental in getting there. My experience and my outlook on life influence much of what I do in therapy, but without compromising the client's values and beliefs. To augment my quality of client care, I emphasize my own growth as a professional, too. You can trust that I'm continuing to grow in my skills, knowledge and personal growth.
